Attention lightbox lovers! I got ahold of some of the cutest clip art from my friend Amanda at @aperfectblend and I knew I had to make lightbox inserts with them! I can’t wait to share them with you here. I included Amazon affiliate links throughout this post for your convenience.
Take a peek at a few of the new designs:
I take most of my pictures with the light off because they’re hard to photograph when the light is on, but take a look at how magical they look when you do turn that light on! Kids love it every time the image changes!
I included a surprise in this one. I asked on Instagram if I should list the mini versions separately or together with this set and the majority of teachers said together. SO as a bonus, they include a mini version of every design! Now I’m not sure which one is cuter…the regular or mini.
Every time I post about lightboxes I get lots of questions about them. I wanted to go ahead and address those here with you just in case you are wondering the same things.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- What do you print these on?
I like to print the designs on transparency sheets. Please note that inkjet and laser printers require different types of transparency sheets. I’m linking my favorites below for you. Just click on the images to check these out.

2. My transparency sheets won’t dry, what am I doing wrong?
You are either using the wrong kind of sheets for your printer or you are printing on the wrong side. I did this the first time. If you are using an inkjet printer, you will notice that one side is slightly rough. This is the side you need to print so that the ink will adhere to the plastic.
3. My prints are too small for the lightbox.
This is an easy fix. When you print, make sure to select to print in actual size. Your printer might also say “scale” and have a percentage next to it. It needs to print at 100%. If your prints don’t fit right, it means that your printer is reducing the size. Once you print in actual size you are good to go. This is what this looks like on my printers:
4. Where can I get a lightbox?
There are several out there. I’m listing the ones below that I personally am using to create my inserts. Each picture is clickable. Please note that if it’s not on this list, I cannot guarantee that these inserts will fit.
This is my all time favorite one. You can also find it at Walmart for around $10.
This is the Heidi Swapp lightbox and the original.
Concerned about space? The mini might be for you. This one is a lot smaller so you can tuck it anywhere.
Last, but not least, is the long one called the Shelf. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one but I have to admit it’s one of my favorites. I put it above the whiteboard and it looks perfect there!
5. Can I print on paper?
Yes, I’ve seen teachers print on regular paper and on translucent vellum. They don’t show quite as bright, but the light will still show through.
6. Where can I get all the designs?
I have several sets in my shop. I’ll link the full bundle and my latest bundles below for you.
This one below just includes my latest set. Click on the image to check it out!
