I am so glad Courtney of Swimming Into Second thought of this linky! It can be difficult to find books geared towards boys or that boys will like in general.
Here are some of my favorites:
What boy or girl can resist El Skippito Friskito? My kids obsess over Skippy every single year. They can’t get enough of him. I highly recommend the whole series, I think there are six now. My favorite being Lost in Spice.
This one is a must have! It’s a poetry book geared towards boys, but the girls like it too. It makes teaching poetry easy and it’s easy to incorporate into other academic areas. I like reading it when we are reading about outdoor animals or camping.
Dav Pilkey is just awesome! This is my go to book when I get a boy who doesn’t enjoy reading. There isn’t an overwhelming amount of text on each page but it’s still a chapter book. They devour this book and get so excited when they realize there are more in the series! I wish there were more books written like this.
Another Dav Pilkey creation. All my kids enjoy this one! I use it to teach voice and it doesn’t hurt that he is one of our authors in our anthology so they get lots of exposure to his writing.
